An update from my previous post.
I was musing about which industries are going down hill and which of those are going well, and what I should do to make sure I'm not left behind. Today I decided that I will not be doing a major in marketing but will do a double major in economics and information systems (so, there's my study direction). I will also look at learning more about web development, and start basically through the Adobe e-Seminar page and have a look at Dreamweaver, Flash and the rest. I think I will stick to my current employment situation, however keep an ear and eye out for anyone who's willing to take me on while I take the above direction (and perhaps encourage it?). I may even approach my current bosses and ask if they're unable to give me any sort of pay increase (highly likely) if they could accommodate me and introduce me to different areas of the business as part of my current job role, rather than a off the cuff remark about it only being in my spare time (which is non-existent therefore the remark request is make redundant). *Sigh* Such is life.

I think my trouble is that I am completely aware of how things can change so much in a small amount of time. I think this is why I am happy with the decision to study university now, rather than straight out of highschool. What did I know then? Nothing at all. What do I know now? I know so much about who I am, what I want to do and where I want to go eventually, which I think is a much more stable way of starting study (in my case!). I like to know all my possibilities, but because they're endless, I'm getting too far off the track and need to reign it in a little. I've always focused on the future - probably need to focus on the now for a bit ^_^
